Former head of Legal and Compliance Department of Fabindia Ltd., Ms. Arpita Mukherjee joins Anand and Anand, as part of the firm’s efforts to scale up its corporate practice and foray into all services; With a career spanning over 30 years, Ms. Mukherjee brings a diverse set of experiences, skills and learnings derived from practice and application of laws including information technology, data privacy, intellectual property, litigation, labour law, banking and securities law, legal metrology, food safety, drugs and cosmetics to name a few; Her responsibilities over the past 3 decades include general corporate legal advisory, stakeholder management, corporate and secretarial compliance, arbitration, mediation and negotiations, real estate acquisition and anti-trust monitoring, and she has also played active role in multiple organisations for drafting and adoption of various policies and corporate codes in line with needs of changing times; Ms. Mukherjee started her corporate counsel’s career with the then ICICI Ltd. and spent close to 14 years between this BFSI pioneer and IL&FS. She grew to be part of leadership teams in companies like Genpact, Nokia Siemens Networks and Tata; At Anand and Anand, she will work directly with Mr. Safir R. Anand, Senior Partner and Head of Trademarks, Contracts and Commercial IP.
